How to prepare a good photo scan

Do you want to use our service and are wondering what to do to make a tombstone photograph or a gift of an elegant portrait look impeccable? The key to a high-quality photo on porcelain or crystal is a well-made scan - the effect of our work and your satisfaction with the product you receive depends on it! Find out how to provide us with material with a resolution suitable for further processing by our specialists!

First, resolution - why does it matter so much when scanning photos?

One of the basic concepts for photography enthusiasts is resolution - the value in DPI that determines the scanning points per inch of image. The higher it is, the more detail will be visible in the prepared photo no matter what size it is printed. When delivering a photograph to our specialists, you must remember to take it at the right resolution so that all the details are clearly visible.

The scanning process in a few simple steps - provide us with a top quality photo!

You can prepare a photograph using your own device. The best scanners are the so-called flatbed scanners. Here are some tips on how to make a good photo scan yourself.

Step 1 Place the photo in the device and turn on the scanner program on your computer.

Step 2 In the scanning settings, choose the resolution parameters. For large images it will be 600 dpi, and for group photographs you can use up to 900-1200 dpi. Optionally, you can choose the predefined settings for photographs in the scanning software. In addition, if it will be a black and white photograph then you can choose to scan in grayscale, while if it will be in color then leave the scan in color.

Step 3. you can start the process of preparing the photo, then save it in JPG format and send them through our ordering system!
